The Capristo Valved Sport Exhaust for the BMW XM is a precision-engineered upgrade designed to unlock the acoustic potential of the S68 4.4L V8 engine. Known for pioneering the "valvetronic" concept, Capristo provides a system that balances daily-driver refinement with a raw, aggressive supercar roar that far surpasses the factory M-Hybrid sound profile.

T309 Stainless Steel Construction: Unlike standard exhausts that use 304-grade steel, Capristo uses T309 (AISI 1.4828). This aerospace-grade alloy is chosen for its superior heat resistance (exceeding 600°C) and its high-nickel content, which produces a sharper, more resonant sound frequency similar to Inconel used in Formula 1.

Signature Quad Tips: The system is finished with four vertical, hexagonally-aligned tips that fit perfectly into the XM's unique rear diffuser. These are available in "Wicrom" (a high-performance black chrome) or anodized finishes in colors like Gold, Red, or Silver.

Hand-Polished Mirror Finish: Every millimeter of the T309 piping is hand-welded using WIG (Wolfram Inert Gas) processes and then hand-polished to a mirror shine, ensuring the system looks as impressive as it sounds.

Vacuum-Actuated Valves: The system features high-precision exhaust valves that dynamically adjust the backpressure. At lower RPMs, the valves remain closed for a deeper, more sophisticated tone. Under heavy acceleration or "Sport" mode, the valves open to provide a virtually unrestricted flow for maximum volume.

OEM Actuator Integration: For the G09 XM, Capristo has designed the valves to integrate directly with the factory BMW electronic actuators. This allows you to control the exhaust modes through the existing M-Sport buttons and vehicle settings without needing extra remotes or wiring.

Flow Optimization: By streamlining the mid-pipes and replacing the restrictive factory resonators (and optionally the OPF filters with 200-cell sport catalysts), the system significantly improves throttle response and reduces turbo lag by allowing the V8 to breathe more freely.
