Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG V8 T (S212) Capristo Sports Exhaust

The Capristo Sports Exhaust for the Mercedes-Benz E63 5.5L V8 Biturbo AMG 4matic S and 2WD (fourth generation S212 since 2011) is a valve controlled system made from high grade stainless steel, as used in motorsports and aerospace engineering. The system contains 2 valves, a programmable control unit CES-3, 2 remote controls, cables and hoses.

The system also features Capristo's own advanced programmable remote control technology, which enables the driver to fine tune their car's sports exhaust system to fit their own specific driving preferences by determining the specific points at which the valves open and close in different modes.

The system consists of exhaust silencer/muffler as well as programmable control unit with remote, and is fitted with the car's stock end tips.

The programmable control unit features an illuminated display showing all functions in plain text in 3 different languages (German, English & Italian) and provides 3 basic modes that are operated by the remote control:
a) Cruise mode - the exhaust gas valves open later
b) Sports mode - the exhaust gas valves open earlier
c) Open mode - the exhaust gas valves remain open

In both the cruise mode and sport mode, you can individually program when the exhaust gas valves open. One big advantage is that the control unit recognizes the driver’s style, so if you accelerate aggressively, the device identifies this by the kind of backpressure that is generated, and the exhaust gas valves open immediately. Usual acceleration results in a later opening of the exhaust gas valves.
