Full Valve Sport Exhaust with Sport Cats
The Capristo exhaust line for the BMW M2 (G87) is engineered to unlock the full acoustic potential of the S58 twin-turbocharged inline-six. Hand-crafted in Germany from high-grade T309 (1.4828) Stainless Steel, these systems offer exceptional heat resistance and a high-pitched, resonant tone that closely mimics the properties of Inconel used in Formula 1.
Both configurations below are finished with Capristo’s iconic Wicrom Tips. These 4.5-inch diameter tips feature a high-lustre black velour outer sleeve and customisable anodised aluminium inner inserts (available in Black, Red, or Silver), providing a muscular and bespoke rear aesthetic.
Option 1: Valved Exhaust + Mid-Silencer Spare + Wicrom Tips
This setup is designed for the enthusiast who wants a dramatic increase in volume and clarity while maintaining the factory emissions hardware.
-
Mid-Silencer Spare (Delete): By replacing the heavy and restrictive factory middle silencer with "spare" (straight) pipes, Capristo eliminates a major point of sound suppression. This results in a crisper, more characterful note and a significant reduction in weight behind the rear axle.
-
Dual-Personality Functionality: The system utilizes the OEM BMW actuators, allowing you to retain full control via the factory Drive Mode buttons. Keep the valves closed for a refined, drone-free commute, or open them in Sport+ to release the S58's aggressive "screamer" soundtrack.
-
100% Plug-and-Play: Engineered as a direct bolt-on to the factory mounting points, this system does not require ECU programming and will not trigger a Check Engine Light (CEL) when used with original catalytic converters.
Option 2: Valved Exhaust + Mid-Silencer Spare + 200 Cell Sport Cats (OPF Delete) + Wicrom Tips
This is the ultimate performance configuration, removing the primary bottlenecks for the most visceral driving experience available.
-
200 Cell Sport Cats (OPF/GPF Replacement): This system replaces the highly restrictive factory Otto Particulate Filters (OPF) with high-flow 200-cell mini sport catalysts. This modification is the key to unlocking the true, unfiltered engine note, introducing sharper "pops and bangs" and a much louder profile (+18dB over stock at redline).
-
Measured Performance Gains: By significantly lowering backpressure, this configuration allows the turbochargers to spool faster. Dyno testing has shown gains of approximately 12 hp and 6 lb/ft of torque, resulting in sharper throttle response and improved power delivery across the rev range.
